Great Expectations - ILST

A special one-day training course right here in Northeastern Pennsylvania for Scouts BSA & Venturing Youth Leaders. The course is designed to provide Scouts (and Adult Leaders) with a more in-depth training experience than their Troop/Crew training by providing supplemental leadership skill sessions.

 

• All Scouts who currently hold, or will hold, a leadership position in their Unit are strongly encouraged to attend. All are welcome (even from outside of our Council)!
• An additional advantage to this course is that you will meet both youth and adult leaders from other Units in the Council and will be able to share valuable ideas and insights, as well as build a Scouting network of friends and contacts. The Great Expectations staff includes top youth trainers from throughout the Council.
• A specialized session for adult Scouters on Unit level and Council-sponsored youth leadership training will also be offered. Scouters are encouraged to attend this course to gain insight into providing troop/crew/ship leadership training for their youth leaders.
• The cost of this one-day event is only $30.00 (or $35 after October 23, 2024) per person, which includes light breakfast, snacks, lunch, all training materials, and a participant patch.
• Scouts/adults may register individually or with their Troop/Crew to attend this event.
