Small Pines Campsite

Small Pines is a great small to medium-sized unit site set on the edge of the Lehigh River. The site is a smaller grove of fir and pine trees that create a neat pocket against the river at the center of the old Parade Field. If your group likes open spaces with a retreat into a shady shelter, this is the site for you.

Site Specifics

Small Pines in the Summer features:

  • Open-style camping
  • Large campfire circle
  • Sits right on the Lehigh River
  • 1 Picnic Table
  • Wooded area yielding a good amount of shade during the day
  • Nice, compact site

Fall, Winter, and Spring features:

  • Great for fishing, flying model rockets, capture-the-flag, etc.
  • Usually accessible year-round

Camp Acahela

Site Access

Site is adjacent to the Lower Field and can be easily accessed by most vehicles. There is room enough for two or three vehicles to be left at the site. A trailer can easily be towed to and maneuvered into the site. Also another good site if you need handicap access. Site is a 10 to 15-minute walk uphill to the Dining Hall.

Other Points of Interest

  • Located just off the Lower Field
  • The Twins is the closest building to the site
  • Has pathways that lead to Lenape Trails System
  • Overlooks the Lehigh River

Fees

In-Council: $40.00 per weekend
Out-of-Council: $60.00 per weekend
