The Area 5 Venturing Rendezvous 2013 - Back to Medieval Days

The Venturing Rendezvous, this year we are really venturing back to medieval days by making swords, shields, tunics, Dutch oven desserts and much, much more. Better yet, not only will we be making these objects, but we will be putting them into action when we have sword fights, medieval battles, battle scenarios and even a tournament at the end of the day on Saturday. There will be a medieval dinner, where all participants are encouraged to dress up in medieval costumes, followed by a Dutch oven dessert contest, campfire, movies, puzzles, and a cracker barrel.

Insomniacs Revenge 2012 theme "WWII Mystery Thether:Uncle Sam Strikes Back

This year’s Revenge is themed Extreme WWII mystery “Dinner” Theater. This weekend mystery adventure starts the night of Friday September 28th and continues nonstop into the 30th. Insomniacs Revenge is known for its unique all night program. Participants arrive late Friday evening and immediately start their sessions and activities. Program runs into Sunday morning,

Venturing Holiday Lock-In

Sounds of laughter and the scent of freshly cooked pizza Will fill the hall of Queen of the Apostils Church in Avoca.  From Friday eventing until late hours of the morning on December 14th-15th 2013 the local ventureres of the NEPA council will be holding their annual lock-in.  The Lock in was created for fellowship, fun, to celebrate anither awsome Venturing year in NEPA and invite anyone who is interested in venturing the oppertunity to meet some of the most active youth in our council. This will definately be a weekend to remember. -- Signups are underway!

Venturing Olympics --- 2013

Francis Slocum State Park was never the same after last years Olympics. Join us for the 2013 Venturing Olympics.  It is the Winter Olympics Venturing Style. The 2013 Venture to the Winter Olympics is sure to be the best one yet. Originally an idea conceived by one of our NEPA Council Venturing Crews in an effort to earn their Sports Bronze Award, the Winter Olympics has become an event integrated into the NEPA VOA program and offered council wide.

It is with great pleasure that the Northeastern Pennsylvania Council, BSA presents you with the 2013 Goose Pond Scout Reservation Venturing Camp (GPSR-VC) Leaders Guide. For the First time in the 14 year history of Venturing, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Council is dedicating a week of summer camp for those of us that wear "green;" As a Venture Crew Adviser, I know firsthand the importance of having a camp designed for our co-ed Venturing units. With 5 trecks there is something for everyone.
