10th Bi-Annual Historic Traveling Camporee

Travel back in time and discover your American Heritage

Travel back in time to a place where colonial America began by being a part of one of our council's great traditions. Our traveling camporee is known for visiting great places and seeing wonderful things, and that is especially true of this year's trip.

In Colonial Williamsburg, you'll see what life was like in the 1700s under English rule and during the American Revolution. A visit to nearby Yorktown will help you understand the battle that effectively ended the American Revolution with Washington's stunning defeat of Lord Cornwallis and his British Regulars. And at Jamestown you'll see what life was like nearly two centuries before when a small band of Britons created a small settlement hoping to carve out a new life from this great continent.

You'll travel in comfort by Martz bus from PNC Field in Moosic to Virginia leaving Saturday, October 11, 2008 and return to PNC Field on Monday night, October 13, 2008. Along the way you'll experience all the great Scouting spirit and fellowship that has made these trips famous.
