Council Venturing Vice President of Program: Caitlin Croke

 

Hey Everyone! My name is Caitlin Croke and I'm so honored to serve everyone in the Northeastern Pennsylvania Council as the Council Vice President of Program!

 

As well as being the VP of Program for the council, I'm the President of Crew 461 in Mountain Top, Pennsylvania. I've completed the trainings for both C.O.P.E. and Acahela Rocks climbing staff and I'm active in the two. I've attended and completed Great Expectations and I will be attending the National Scout Jamboree in the summer. Outside of Venturing, I am a staff member at Camp Acahela. I'm also a Senior Girl Scout; I've earned both my Bronze and Silver Awards, and I'm currently working on my Gold Award. I've been a Girl Scout since kindergarden and I joined Venturing a little over 3 years ago. And I have to say, these 3 years have been the absolute best!

 

Outside my life of scouts, I am a sophomore at Holy Redeemer High School where I am on the girls tennis team. After I graduate high school, I plan on going to college to study psychology and become a cognitive psychologist.

 

As you can see, my life basically revolves around scouting. And I wouldn't want it any other way. I love scouts and all that it has done for me, so I want to help and give back. Venturing has opened up so many new doors and opportunities that I wouldn't have been able to find anywhere else. It has helped me to become the person I am today and the person I'll be in the future. I hope that scouts will continue to influence me in the future; therefore, I would like to give to all of the scouts out there in the Northeastern Pennsylvania Council by serving as the Council Vice President of Program and creating the activities that bring in new scouts and programs that give new and exciting experiences to those that have been with the program for a while! I hope to see many of you at our many events and meetings!
