| Campmaster On-line Application |
Do you love spending time at the camps? Becoming a Campmaster is an excellent way to become part of a unique group of Scouters who not only care for the camps, but insure that those staying with us have an outstanding time. The Campmasters can open or close the camps or provide units with instruction in areas where the Campmaster has some expertise.
The Campmaster Corps has changed over the years. No longer are you required to stay all weekend (although some still do) and you won't be "babysitting" groups in camp. As a Campmaster, you can act as a greeter to help campers settle in as they arrive, showing them where to go, where the facilities are, and inform them of the rules and other information. Or you can provide a unit with badly needed training that they have requested ahead of time - meet with them for specific requirements training or to complete all or part of a merit badge. Or act as the all important closer, who makes sure all is in order, that the campers had a good time and that the camp is secure. Scheduling is worked out at your convenience - volunteer only for those times and tasks that work for you and your schedule - then get ready to be a "hero", because both campers and the Ranger appreciate the effort you put in to making the Scouting program come alive at our camps.
The first step in joining the Campmaster Corps is filling out this On-line application. Once the application has been reviewed, we contact you and arrange for you to be trained in the specifics of being a Campmaster. So take a moment to provide us with your current information. And thanks for wanting to be a part of this vital group!
